The creation of a tourist - cultural district in the Bay of Burgas area is the main topic of the workshop held in the Bulgarian town of Pomorie, on the Black Sea from January 16th to 19th.
Many witnesses of Baia di Napoli district successful model have attended the meeting:
the “Baia di Napoli” association and “Bay of Excellence” consortium.
“Baia di Napoli” was born to promote the image and the activities of Naples and its bay as a cultural district and tourist destination linked to cultural heritage, landscapes and its beautiful sea. Baia di Napoli operates by building and promoting itineraries which are not part of the regular international tourist circuits and creating a network of high quality operators.
Bay of Excellence gathers together the excellences of the Neapolitan accommodation and it’s based on the cooperation of each single affiliated structure to the promotion of events in the Gulf of Naples area. For the big events the consortium can provide a collective offer, whereas for the regular events it can offer a range of services from each structure leaving the competition on services and prices unchanged.
The Consortium and the Association, represented by their presidents, respectively Teresa Naldi and Jonathan van der Meer, already actively involved, since one year and a half, in the joint promotion of the Bay of Naples territory. Due to their successful model they have been invited by the Bulgarian institute for the regional strategies to show the organizational model of the tourist-cultural district of the Naples Bay and to study the portability of such a model to the Bay of Burgas area in southern Bulgaria.
The visit culminated in the signature of the Understanding Charter among Baia di Napoli association, Bay of Excellence consortium and the Majors of four municipalities (Burgas, Pomorie, Nessebar e Sozopol). This testifies the will to cooperate not only for the identification of the organization model to adopt, but also for concrete actions to implement in order to create a proper environment for the development of a tourist-cultural district starting from the transport connections up to the training of operators.
Stefano Benazzo, the Italian Ambassador in Bulgaria, met in Sophia, has expressed his interest in the concrete aspects of this cooperation and his will to foster future actions aimed at developing high quality cultural tourism in the Bay of Burgas area.

Napoli Mare project will be hosted at TTG di Rimini (stand D3) by Grimaldi Ferries Prestige, where new itineraries will be presented to the main foreign operators

21 participants started from Marina Grande shore in Capri and will sail along an aisle made of boat from the organization and the “Guardia Costiera”. Athletes from K1e K2 master and senior either professional or amateur took part in the competition. The winner is Raffaele Cicala ( K1 Senior) with an overall time of 2 hours and and 11 mins, Orazio Manzo  (K2 master) arrived two seconds later. Within K2 category the winner is the duo Sergio Avallone - Giuseppe Masullo, as for K2 Senior the winners is the duo Paolo Daniele and Albino Battelli (Italian champion) that has already won 4 national trophies and a sixth place at the world championsghips.

Today at Circolo Nautico Posillipo was introduced the fourth edition of Napoli Mare Canoe Marathon Bluduemila Trophy. Among lecturers there were Alfredo Ponticelli (town councilor for sport activities), Fabiano Roma (president of FICK Campania), Amedeo Santoro (counselor at lega navale Pozzuoli) and Jonathan  van der  Meer, President of Baia di Napoli Association. The marathon will start from Marina Grande shore in Capri and will sail along an aisle made of boat from the organization and the “Guardia Costiera” that will assist the participants . The event is supported by “City of Naples”, the Province of Naples, Coastal Guard, Italian Federation of canoe and kajak , Bluduemila Association  with President  Del Gaiso and by  Msc Crociere, Slim (Statistical Learning and Information Management), Estensa, 2 Esse, Baby Bazar, Nautishirt.

The combined efforts of local, regional and national institutions, together with the enthusiasm and commitment of the major theatres in Campania, have paved the way for a new experience, the Teatro Festival Italia, the new performing arts festival which is an initiative of the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities.
Following a nationwide competition which saw the participation of numerous Italian cities and regions, the proposal put forward by the Campania Region was judged the winner and, in May 2007, Naples was chosen to host the Festival until 2009.
The TFI is a celebration of cultural events, performances, discussions and initiatives aimed at fostering the spread of a performing arts culture among young people and opening up the city and the region to major cultural trends emerging at an international level.
Experimenting, experiencing, spreading ideas and discovering: these are the watchwords of the Teatro Festival Italia.
